The Moonlight Lounge is an ongoing personal 3D environment project focused on exploring and mastering the art-deco style. It serves both as a creative outlet and a technical learning experience, with a particular emphasis on designing and implementing custom trim sheets from scratch.

The scene features a combination of original assets and carefully selected third-party assets, many of which have been modified to better align with the project’s unique visual direction and cohesive art-style!

Original inspiration for this project is from a very close friend of mine, whose original project can be found HERE.

Trim Sheets

The environment was made using a series of trimsheets and tileables, allowing for the geometry to be rendered at a very cheap cost, targeting the Meta Quest platform!

Modular Props

Due to the unique shaping of the lounge, a lot of the assets had to be uniquely made for each area. However, I have been able to make some modular assets that are used throughout every area!

Modular Environmental Assets

Similar to the modular props, much of the environment has had to be unique geometry to fit the shaping of the space. However, many of the individual elements were able to be made in a modular way to save on memory usage and make lightmapping easier!
