Generations – Project RAMA was a Meta Quest project developed over the course of one month for the NSSA 2024 Space Jam. Designed as a technical learning experience, the project focused on the design of the interior of the generational ship RAMA, exploring the science of centrifugal generation ships through a hard science fiction lens.
All assets were created using a combination of an amazing set of trimsheets provided by environment artist Makkon, and carefully tweaked third party assets.
The project drew inspiration from a range of science fiction literature, most notably Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke.

Asset Examples
The cylindrical nature of the structure necessitated a a specialized workflow and asset design approach. Many assets were created specifically for zero-gravity situations, while others had to conform to the curvature of the ship’s interior. This presented a significant design challenge, but ultimately served as a value learning experience!
